The contest area is located next to the public garden which is the largest green field at the citycenter of Çanakkale. It has valuable characteristics and intended functions with it’s location close to Cumhuriyet Boulevard which is the main pedestrian and vehicle axis. The market place , business center and car park buildings that are lying idle are to be rebuild to provide activity to the intended functions and their vicinity. One of the aims in this rebuilding is to prevent the car park intensity in the vicinity of the contest area and to provide a better city space. This vicinity is closed to motor vehicles to provide the building a purified base .While this rearrangement is realised , the green continuity which is formed between Cumhuriyet Boulevard and public garden is also carried to the inside of the building by the terrace and ramp unities. Rather than a mall(shopping center), the building is designed as uncovered open streets which would be integrated to the city , standing out with it’s publicity .
